They only have a very limited amount of seats so it almost feels like a private chef experience. For the quality of food and service the prices are fantastic as well. This was a truly unexpected find and definitely feels like a hidden gem. ”
“ This is essentially a Michelin Star quality restaurant at one-quarter the price. The restaurant is located at the owner's house, which was a novel idea for us, but it works to create a very intimate dinner setting. The husband Erich handles the bussing and waiting, while his wife Rita is a classically trained chef. Your delicious dining experience takes place in an open air dining room located in the back yard, which has been converted with astro-turf, table settings and a large umbrella in case of inclement weather. There are only five or six tables, so reservations are a must. The food is amazing and available either a la carte or in multi-course menu options. The service is superb; each item on every dish is described in detail as the course arrives. You need not lift a finger to refill your own water or wine glass, and if you partake in the filthy habit of smoking (as do I), you will have a freshly emptied ashtray after every smoke. I could go on and on about how good is the food, but trust me, it is GREAT. The service is so personal that you truly feel spoiled, and the entire experience is worth your special occasion reservation. Take a trip to the quaint village of Erbach and experience the joy of dining at La Petit Maison! ”
